Join us for a special evening honoring the legacy of Lydia, M.A. ’72, and Robert (Bob) Ruyle — beloved educators and champions of the arts. In recognition of a transformational gift from the Ruyle family, the UNC Campus Commons Art Gallery will be named in their honor, supporting artistic learning, research, and global engagement in the School of Art & Design.
Alongside this dedication, we are proud to present Roots and Routes, an alumni exhibition showcasing the diverse talents and journeys of UNC artists whose creative paths began right here on campus.
Together, the gallery naming and exhibition highlight the lasting impact of the arts at UNC — shaped by generosity, creativity, and Bear pride.
