Alumni News

A group of alumni and former students came together in February 2009 at the Old Capital Grill in Golden to reminisce and remember their days together in Turner Hall. Organized by Lloyd Yonemura (BA-72), Kaunakakai, Hawaii, and Bill Hensley (BA-73), Golden, the mini-reunion included residents of Turner Hall in the early 70s.

Faculty and Friends

Thomas Endres, director of the School of Communication and professor of Communication Studies, received the “Service to the State” award from the National Communication Association’s States Advisory Council. The council consists of representatives from state communication associations within the U.S. who collectively work with the national office to exchange information and advocate on behalf of their local constituents. Endres currently represents the Rocky Mountain Communication Association, which honored him with a regional service award last year. He has been a member of the NCA States Advisory Council for approximately 20 years, originally representing the state of Minnesota, and currently serves as the council’s secretary.
