Greg & Julie Anton

After he loaded the rest of my stuff, Greg asked for my phone number, and if he could call me some time over the summer. Of course after all that help, what else could I do? I gave him my number. On the drive home I got a funny feeling. I started thinking; there might be something more here. Greg and I talked periodically on the phone over the summer he lived in Boston. When I told him I was debating whether or not to go back to UNC in the fall, I thought I heard him almost drop the phone. He quickly recovered, collected himself and said in the most impervious voice he could muster that he was sad to hear that he wouldn’t be able to see me next semester. That’s when I started thinking; there really is something more here. I’d hate to think what we might have missed if we both hadn’t returned to UNC. This year, Greg and I will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. His heart is still as big today as it was when he was lugging boxes out of my dorm room. We are glad to have our history at UNC. We like to bring our boys to UNC football games and show them around campus. We tell them, this is where our family started.”
