As faculty and staff, you see first hand the needs of our students and facilities. How you address those needs elevates the quality and reputation of this university. When internal support is strong, UNC is better able to leverage large gifts from external supporters like corporations, foundations and private donors who view the number of faculty and staff who contribute to the university as an indicator of the university’s worth.
Your one gift of any amount affects the overall participation and could be the tipping point for many sizeable contributions to the university.

Matching Gift Opportunity
Make your gift by Sept 30, 2007 to be eligible for a matching gif.
An individual donor who chooses to remain anonymous made a gift to the university that will impact staff and faculty giving this year. This donor loves UNC so much that he or she wanted the gift to benefit the entire university--not just one specific program or area. The donor decided the best way to impact the entire university was to let the people closest to the students, the faculty and staff, determine where it goes by matching their contributions to UNC. Any Team UNC donation, pledge, payroll deduction gift or renewal, from July 1, 2007 to Sept 30, 2007 to any program fund or scholarship will be matched up to a total of $50,000. (Limit $1,000 match per individual.)
Requirements for Team UNC Match:
-Be a continuous Payroll Deduction subscriber and every deduction made from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008 will be matched not to exceed $1,000
-‘Upgrade’ a non-continuous Payroll Deduct subscription to a continuous subscription and every deduction made from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008 will be matched not to exceed $1,000
-Cash gifts received between July 1, 2007 and Sept. 30 2007 will be matched not to exceed $1,000
-Pledges received between July 1, 2007 and Sept. 30, 2007 and paid by June 30, 2008 will be matched not to exceed $1,000
