Gifts At Work
Private gifts received by the Foundation directly benefit the University of Northern Colorado. Gifts do not replace other sources of university revenue, but rather serve to help fulfill the mission of providing the best possible educational experience for students.
The university currently receives less than 10 percent of its funding from the state of Colorado. It is also easy to assume that tuition covers the cost to run a top-quality university. In fact, the cost to educate a University of Northern Colorado student far exceeds what is paid in tuition. Thus, private gifts are essential to keep tuition and fee structures at a level that does not restrict access to higher education opportunities for students from all economic backgrounds while maintaining a high quality learning environment.
