Race Against Cancer

Saturday, July 4th

Join us for the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute Race Against Cancer on Saturday, July 4 starting at 7:15 am. The 5K walk/run or 1 Mile Fitness Walk is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Race day registration is $30 for all participants. Concert Under The Stars BBQ

Tuesday, July 14th

Join UNC Alumni and Friends on Tuesday, July 14 for a pre-performance BBQ near the Garden Theater from 6-8 pm. The concert, by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, will begin at 8 pm. The cost is just $10 per person.

 

Frontiers of Science 50 Year Anniversary July 23 and July 24, 2009

Thursday, July 23rd

All FSI Alumni are invited to the 50 Year Anniversary celebration on Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24 at the UNC Campus. On Thursday, July 23 alumni are invited to attend the formal research presentations from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, critique projects, and assist with the judging of awards. On this same evening, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, FSI will host an alumni reception for those who are interested in an early meet and greet of FSI staff and former classmates. There will be a luncheon and open house on Friday, July 24 which will be an opportunity for guests to celebrate FSI's 50 Year Anniversary and visit with current FSI participants and staff, alumni, FSI sponsors, as well as UNC faculty and administration. Guest speakers will be featured from each FSI decade, an awards ceremony for current student participants, and student research projects will be on display. To wrap up the 50th Anniversay celebration, alumni and current FSI students will have an opportunity to reminisce with old friends, make new connections and enjoy great food and entertainment. Join FSI staff and former classmates for a casual reception on Thursday, July 23 from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Clarion Hotel (701 8th Street in downtown Greeley). Frontiers of Science Luncheon

Friday, July 24th

Join us for the Luncheon/Open House on Friday, July 24th from 11 am to 5 pm at the UC Grand Ballroom. This will be a wonderful opportunity for guests to celebrate the FSI 50 Year Anniversary and visit with current FSI participants and staff, alumni, FSI sponors as well as UNC faculty and administration. Guest speakers will be featured from each FSI decade, as well as an awards ceremony for current student participants. Student research projects will also be on display. The cost is $22 and the dress is formal. Menu choices include English Cut Prime Rib, Grilled Mango Chicken Breast and Chef's Choice Vegetarian. Football 101

Saturday, August 1st

Plan to join us for this wonderful event on Saturday, August 1, at the UNC Rec Center, to help raise money for cancer survivors to get the rehabilitation they need at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute located at the Ben Nighthorse Campbell Center on the UNC campus. This half day event will teach you the football basics with UNC Head Football Coach, Scott Downing along with UNC players and coaches. The cost is $50 per person which includes lunch. Spirit of Women members, $40 per person (please show your Spirit of Women membership card at registration). Registration begins at 8 am. First quarter will teach rules and officiating, Second quarter will teach offense, Third quarter will teach defense and Fourth quarter will be for Q & A. Following, there will be a postgame lunch & silent auction and circuit tour of the RMCRI facility. REaD, White & Black Affair

Saturday, November 14th

You are cordially invited to celebrate the first REaD, White & Black Affair, a fundraiser benefitting the collections of the University of Northern Colorado Libraries. This elegant evening will begin with cocktails at 6 pm followed by dinner at 7 pm. There will also be a silent and live auction. Red, White or Black attire is suggested. Tickets are $75 per person or $750 for a table sponsorship of 8. This event will be held at the James A. Michener Library on the UNC campus. Dinner includes a choice of braised beef short rib on potato parsnip puree, supreme coppa chicken breast with oloroso glace reduction and chanterelle mushrooms or a vegetarian option.
