Save the UNC License Plate!
The University of Northern Colorado license plate is facing elimination by the state of Colorado if no less than 3,000 Northern Colorado Bear plates are on vehicles by the end of March 2008.
Help “Save Your Plate” today by requesting your FREE license plate voucher for a specialty plate. The first 3,000 license plate certificates will be distributed free to alumni and friends of the university. (An optional $50 donation supports the Alumni Scholarship Fund for Colorado students.)

You do not need to wait until your plates have expired, because your county will credit unused fees from your current vehicle registration and apply that towards the current fee for plates. There is also a one-time special plate fee of $50 required by the DMV to secure your specialty UNC license plate (after receiving your certificate).
