John Paolino, Vice President - BA 1959, MA 1960

John PaolinoJohn “J. J.” Paolino received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1959 and a Masters degree in 1960, both from the University of Northern Colorado. In 1960, he joined the United States Air Force retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1981 with over 4,000 flying hours. Notable assignments included the USAF Academy where he was Director of Cadet Counseling, and also taught courses in Leadership and Organizational Behavior. In 1964-65, Paolino served in Vietnam flying over 650 combat support sorties. From 1981-85 he worked as a management consultant working with numerous Fortune 500 companies. Paolino joined the Arizona Public Service Company in Phoenix, Arizona in 1985 as a Leadership and Organizational Development Consultant and retired again in 2000. He then joined LSI Logic in Colorado Springs as a Talent Management Consultant finally retiring in 2004. Paolino has served on the Adjunct Faculty of Arizona State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the Community Colleges of Arizona. He also served on Senator John McCain’s Military Academy Selection Committee from 1995-2000. Paolino lives in Monument, Colorado and he has three children and five grandchildren.
